"It can't happen to me, my body is different"
i went to my therapist today, who had asked me to record my eating patters. What I ate, how much, when, etc. I showed her and she said the things most eating disordered individuals hear.
"You are severely restricting"
While she says that, I think that it isn't actually severe, I feel as though it is too much.
"This is only a few hundred calories a day"
But it's too many.
"If this goes on longer, it may result in serious health complications"
My body is different.
"This is very dangerous"
Nothing can happen to me,
"You're only taking in about 10-15 grams of protein a day. Do you know how many you need?"
No.
"You need a lot more"
Oh.
"This disorder can enslave you, and it is very hard to break free."
Mhmm.
"Do you want to be stuck living like this?"
Not really.
...
"What are you thinking?"
I know the dangers, I know what I'm doing is wrong, but I don't think anything can happen to me. I don't really want to stop this.
