Isolation
I don't like people. That is supposed to be taboo - something that is bad, shameful and should be changed. But I don't see it that way. Why is liking people a requirement of some sort? I find interaction with people to be stressful and not fun in any way. And yes, I suffer from loneliness. A contradiction? I long for one special companion. That's all. But people in general stress me out. So I avoid them as much as possible. And succeed to a large degree. For that I am thankful. I don't communicate well, am told I have poor social skills. In truth I am simply honest. I say what I really think without concern for how the other person will take it. I don't couch my words in niceties. I think that is phony and I prefer to be real. People don't like that - which is a main reason I don't like people. I know I don't fit into the world, never have and never will. I can't wait till I can leave this world, it's not fun at all.

is this supposed to get you somewhere? how does someone support you when you do not like them?
I definitely understand where you\'re coming from. I really dislike phony, superficial sheeple whose opinions, ideas, and preferences are provided for them by the media and Madison Avenue. I cannot stand superficial conversations about the latest pop culture crap and I think Lady Gaga sucks, don\'t even know who Justin Bieber is, and I could care less about DWTS. I use my cell phone as, well, a phone and I don\'t have to answer every call right then and there.
I don\'t like majority of sheeple, either. I\'ve always been my own person and I have never fit in nor do I care if I ever fit in. I must admit that this has made it difficult in my job hunt, though. I have a few friends who accept me for who I am.
I am lonely, but I\'m not going to change who I am to became something I hate: another sheep. I hate sheeple, but I like real, genuine people with their own opinions.
So, I understand where you\'re coming from even though we may have different reasons for not liking people. Big, big hugs my friend.
