Is this better?

My last drink was Dec. 12.   I've thought about drinking a lot.  I miss it some.  I miss hanging out at the bar, having a pint on the deck.  I miss getting plastered in front of the TV on Friday nights, or drinking all day on a Saturday afternoon.  I don't miss feeling sick the next day.  I don't miss the depression and anxiety produced by the knowledge that I wasted so much time and potential for doing things.
I thought when I stopped drinking it would be easier to be better.  I mean I thought I'd do more good.  I still sit around doing nothing too much.  I'm still lazy.  Only now I'm sober, not drinking, while not doing anything.   I guess that's better.
I've taken more from DS than I give.  At first, I'd chime in the discussions.  But I don't really know what I could say that would help somebody. If we're alcoholics, we simply cannot drink.  Accept it.
I know if I drink that first drink, eventually I'll get drunk and be sorry for it.  Maybe something terrible would happen because of drinking.
Now I'm sober, and maybe something terrible will happen anyway.  But at least I won't have to wonder if it was because I was drunk.
