Is this a flare?

I woke up this morning and rolled my body  out of bed. I could not hold myself up with my arms. They were too weak.  I managed to get on my feet, but immediately started to fall. My husband was there to catch me.  I could not hold myself up.  I have been this weak in the past. Usually I am ill though and that causes the weakness. Today, I cannot say that I have any type of illness.  I don't feel well but cannot determine what it is that makes me feel this lousy. I have been super tired but no runny nose, no congestion, nothing.  My vision is blurred as it has been for the past two weeks. My eyes ache.   I have managed to drag myself around the house on my walker.  I have had some water to hydrate and ate some fruit.  I have gained some strength but am still very off balance and miserable.  My husband went to work, but gave me the house phone as well as my cell phone if I need anything.  He wants me to go to Mayo clinic in Phoenix to see what they can find.  I really am hesitant.  I don't want to be told it is all in my head.  I have no stress this week that would make me fall into this mess I am today.
So, I wonder if this is what is considered a flare. I have always thought so. The docs never want to treat me with anything though. Always just say go home and rest.  I won't even bother going in and wasting my money.  I thought when they saw me this way they would know I am dealing with something.  The ER doc said I "looked like I had MS" when he saw me last year.  They would not treat me though. Just a referral to a neuro.  That was the beginning of my roller coaster ride.  Here I am today a year later worse than I was and still don't know anything more about what is causing my illness.  Maybe I should go to the doc as I do not have an over riding illness causing my weakness today.
I am too weak and unable to do much talking.  I tried talking to my mother and cannot get the words out correctly.  I can't even type without problems.
I know I don't want to have these episodes for 10 more years before someone gives me a dx.  They are frustrating and painful and worst of all take away my independence.
I guess I have rambled enough.

I hate that you have to go thru all this. I know it makes things worse not knowing why you are hurting. You should go to the Mayo Clinic if you are financially able to. I know it can be costly to go to all these doctors. Sometimes we have to do what we can to better our health. I hope you feel better. Get some rest!

By all means, go to a new neuro NOW while you are having all these MS symptoms of a flare. If it is MS, this is the best time to be taken seriously and get a proper diagnosis. This is what happened to so many of us. Please take action now.
