Is the day over yet.
Is this day over with yet????????????????????????? I am so sick and tired of people telling me Happy Mother's Day. How in the world can it be a Happy Day when I don't have my Josh???????????????????? I have been in this long enough to know that this to shall pass and tomorrow will be another day.
My mama has been in and out of the hospital since January 1st. The first time a two months stay almost dying. During this time her man friend kicked her out. So she is staying with her friend Diane and her son. Why is she not staying with me you ask? We have tried several times and it does not work. John said no!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mama has gotten herself into a bad situation financially and she doesn't know what to do. Everyday at least twice a day she is calling me complaining about her living situation. Before mama left the hospital the first time I begged her to go into assisted living but she would not even talk about. I love my mama don't' get me wrong but she is one that has to have alot of attention. She has got to have someone around her at all times. I am at wits end. I don't know how much more my nerves can handle.
Love you all

I understand Rhonda I couldn\'t live with my mom either. Your husband would not say no to her living with you if it wasn\'t for a good reason. He may be able to be more objective & not letting his emotions make the decision. I\'m sure you love your mom but sometimes tough love comes into play.
I remember hearing one time that the one way to have a peaceful home is that everyone living in the home needs to contribute to the peace. If they don\'t it may be in everyone\'s best interest for that person to live somewhere else.
I hope on this fragile day you remember you will always & forever be Josh\'s mom and he will always be your precious son. I\'m sending extra hugs to surround you with gentleness & some peace. Love, Vicki
I too am sick of the \"Happy Mother\'s Day\". It is the one day that I can barely survive. Thinking about you and hope the situation gets better with your Mom. Much love and peace being sent to you....Nell
I too understand. I think it is worse this year than last - but then that was a year ago. I get so irritated with the crap on TV and yes, people wishing me a happy day. I am waiting for guests to arrive so I can celebrate an Unmothers Day.
I can understand you not having your mother move in again. I am sure it would not do you or your husband any good. It is stressful having her call and try to guilt you. If she needs someone there all the time, then it is time to go into assisted living!
Take care of yourself. I am no expert with caring for parents (I am used to caring for other people\'s when they are in care), but would it be possible to lay down the law and tell her that you can only talk once a day?
I wish I could help. You know I would if I could.
Hugs,
Marlene
Mothers Day is another reminder of our loss. It hurts. I too had to make the hard decision to not have my mother live with us. It was the only way I could possibly keep my sanity and push her into a life of her own. In hindsight, I don\'t regret it for a moment!
Hugs, Merrilee
no w the day is almost over,,, that makes me happy...... I am so sorry about your Mamma,,,,, I send my prayers things get better or something.... love ya!
(((hugs)))
It\'s all so damn hard!!!!
I\'m sorry....
Sending all the LOVE that I have. I\'m SO sorry my friend and neither my sister nor I could have our mother live with us. She lived about three minutes from each of us in an assisted living as that was just the way that it had to be.
Sometimes you just must look out for yourself and it is not being disrespectful to maintain healthy boundaries that serve you. If she is given the air time I\'m sure she will take it as it has worked for her before. Our mom would have loved to have seen us daily, yet it was something that neither my sister nor I could do. We explained what we could do and she had to learn to live with it and in the end everyone was just fine. We had lots of visiting time and saw her more than we had for a very long time when she was living in Missouri.
I understand that all situations are unique, yet only YOU can take care of yourself and you are more than deserving of that.
Loving care and only a phone call away anytime a heart with ears is needed.
XO Joanie
I did not leave my house so no one could say it to me...
My one son in law sent me a FB poem that I will post...so. Know he gets it.
I could never have lived with my mom once I was an adult...but my daughter and I have a better relationship so if the time came I could live with her and vice versa
Rhonda, I know what you mean! I just about screamed yesterday after receiving several text messages and Facebook messages saying happy mothers day. Are you kidding me? I know people mean well but I do not have a living child to mother anymore so really what are they thinking? I know Josh is your only child like me with Ed. I didn\'t go to church yesterday & I took Friday & today off of work. I work mostly with women and I just cannot listen to all their plans for that day & then hours of recap of the festivities on Monday. Wow, I sound really bitter! I know they don\'t mean any harm but it hurts and I feel like a \"Debbie Downer \". They should be able to talk about mother\'s day freely but avoid it I must. I am proud of you for taking care of yourself.
I hope things improve for your mom and her situation. I could not my mother with me either. Thankfully she is in elderly housing and doing okay. Gentle hugs and much love to you and Josh, Linda
Oh, Momma problems, Rhonda! My mother has gotten bad (two knee and one hip replaced). She is an unsafe driver. Has my brother living with her and complains about him. Left my step father over 10 years ago (stole from him to buy herself a house with cash). Long story but sad one. So she cries to me now all the time about what is she going to do and I am sorry, but not my problem. She has never been nice to me. I was the eldest of her 7 children and she has always treated me more like a peer that she does not like. She idolizes the two youngest children from her 2nd marriage. Let them take care of her LOL. I am sorry Mother\'s Day was uncomfortable for you. I, too, am glad that the day is over. I do have a living child, but still glad it is a day done.
Peace.
Sorry about your mom! Sigh! And I to am glad the day was finally over. Hugs.
Ahh sweetie, I feel for you! I love you and JOSH! Sorry about your Ma, I have no answers but will pray things get easier. Hugs and love!
