IS SPRING REALLY HERE??
I THINK, CROSS MY FINGERS AND KNOCK ON WOOD, THAT SPRING MAY HAVE ARRIVED. I AM AFRAID TO ACTUALLY SAY THIS BECAUSE MOTHER NATURE MAY HAVE A SURPRISE OR TWO LEFT. TODAY WAS SUNNY AND 54*F. THE GROUND IS STILL FAR FROM READY TO WORK BUT IT WILL COME SOON. WE HAVE OUR SPRING CLEANUP GUY COMING THIS WEEK. HE WILL ALSO BE GIVING US THE COST OF TAKING DOWN AN OLD TREE. IT HAS SEEN BETTER DAYS AND IS NOW A HAZARD TO THE HOUSE AND DECK. IT NEEDS TO GO!! I HOPE TO HAVE A WOOD CARVING DONE ON THE STUMPAGE. I HAVE NOT DECIDED WHAT YET...ANY SUGGESTIONS?
MY GIRL FRIEND FROM MY TEACHING DAYS WAS OVER TODAY FOR A LOVELY VISIT. SHE IS ONE OF THE FOUR THAT GET TOGETHER EVERY OTHER WEEK FOR COFFEE. HOWEVER, SHE HAS NOT BEEN ABLE TO MAKE IT SINCE THE NEW YEAR. TONIGHT IS COFFEE NIGHT AND SHE CAN NOT GO BUT SHE WANTED TO VISIT WITH ME. IT WAS GREAT.
IT HAS BEEN A WHOLE WEEK PLUS SINCE I WROTE IN MY JOURNAL. I AM DOING OKAY. I HAVE BEEN REALLY GETTING INTO MY RUG HOOKING AGAIN.
STILL NOT TALKING TO MY DAUGHTER. IT IS STILL BEST IF I DON'T. SHE IS STILL TICKING ME OFF. HER FATHER'S BIRTHDAY WAS SATURDAY AND SHE DID NOT EVEN BOTHER TO TEXT HIM A MESSAGE. WELL, HER LOSS!!! YES, IT STILL BOTHERS ME BUT...I HAVE TO DO THIS OR SHE WILL NEVER LEARN. I REFUSE TO BE DISRESPECTED.
I AM IN COUNT DOWN MODE TIL WE ARE IN THE DOMINICAN AGAIN. THIS TIME IN 17 DAYS I WILL BE RELAXING ON A BEACH WITH LPOTS OF SUN AND A FANCY DRINK.
GOT QUITE AN UNPLEASANT SURPRISE THIS WEEK. WE HAD OUR INCOME TAXES DONE. I KNEW THAT I WAS GOING TO OWE A FAIR AMOUNT BECAUSE I RECEIVED A SERVICE AWARD FROM MY YEARS OF TEACHING. THEY TAKE NEXT TO NOTHING OFF IN TAXES. I JUST WAS NOT PREPARED FOR JUST HOW MUCH I HAVE TO PAY....$ 7000!!!!! AND CHANGE!!! BOY, THEY GET YOU COMING AND GOING. SO AS A RESULT WE WILL ONLY BE REBUILDING THE DECK THIS YEAR AND THE POOL WILL HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL NEXT YEAR. QUE SERA, SERA.
LOTS OF APPOINTMENTS THIS WEEK:PDOC, THERAPIST, NAILS, HAIR, WAXING (OUCH!!) AND TAKING MY GIRLFRIEND TO MONCTON FOR A DOCTOR'S APPOINTMENT. BUSY, BUSY SO DON'T BE SURPRISED IF I AM NOT ON HERE MUCH.

too bad you have to pay that much in taxes .dont you just hate that...i have been doing some weeding and it feels goof to just get in the dirt..still alittle cold here. but i am still getting out there.. its slow to warm up this yr...vacation sounds great sun and fancy drinks sounds great about now.. i understand about your daughter i have so much drama going on in my family to right now.. too. anyhoo have a good week. hugs ..love marie
I sincerely hope Spring has found her way to your place. If she\'s made it that far north she might work up the energy to make it clear over to us too.
We were also up to 54*F a few days ago, then we got 4 inches of snow over night. Last night is was beautifuly clear all night and now the clouds are moving in pretty quickly. I\'ve heard it is supposed to snow again today.
We keep getting snow but each time it melts there is less over all then before so I guess that is progress.
Wow, 17 days and you\'ll be soaking up the sun. Please enjoy this trip for all your worth and host a tasty drink or two for me while your at it. My b.d. is in 11 days and the only way I\'ll be soaking sun is if we have a rapid imporvement in our weather.
Good for you. I am so glad you are holding firm with your daughter. I think that is terrible she could not be bothered to even call her dad on his b.d. That takes self centeredness to new highs IMO
We are not going to talk about your income tax pay our or I will be really sick. I have not turned mine in yet because I am scared. Moving on, don\'t be jealous because I had one day of 83 because we were 47 today and going down to 35 tonight. I guess that was just a teaser. Uncross your fingers and quit knocking on wood because she is not done taunting us. I am packing my bags just tell me what resort to met you at. LOL.
