Iranian priest

It’s wild, everyone here has quite a life story to tell. There’s a 23 year old Iranian man who walked from Iran to Turkey and the from Turkey to Greece. He became the first Iranian ordained an orthodox priest. It took him 28 days to travel on foot and he said now he knows how to live off the land. He’s now studying to be a lawyer as well as serving in the priesthood.

What an amazing story that young man has told you. As bad as we sometimes think we have it, there are people in other countries who have it far worse so I consider myself lucky. Give him the many blessings that we send him! He should write a book.

one of my favorite theological debates is, "why does god let bad things happen?"

of course none of us gets to know god's mind, but on my list of favorite theories is that those "bad" experiences forge some of god's greatest tools for the good. tools such as your iranian priest?

just theorating. proof unavailable. faith based on proof is not faith at all.
