Interview Questions and Crazy Stuff
Had an interview where a question was asked: If everyone could fly how would the world be different?
Dumbest thing ever. This for a job to answer phones. You know, I think I need to go back to school and major in Psychology then go out and find out who the heck is writing these interview questions. They need psychological help.
On the other front. I got weak tonight and decided to call my dad. Then I knew I needed talking out of it. My best friend wasn't available. So, I did the next best thing--listened to all those voice mails he's been leaving. Best decision ever. I heard such venom that no way I was picking up that phone. Instead, I sat my butt down and am binge watching Boardwalk Empire.
A great night to say the least. I'm feeling good!

Re: who asks those stupid job questions. I get interviewed with a barely 20 year old who is nervous as all get out. Go figure! I could be their grandma. Good luck and me to. from DianeB

That was a DUMB question!! I\'m like you, whoever writes those questions does need psychological help!

lol, I guess I\'d of answered: wouldn\'t have to spend money on gas, tires, oil, buy a vehicle or have insurance, so I\'d save a lot of money and the world wouldn\'t be polluted with all the vehicles give off. As someone who used to teach interview techniques in my communications classes, I can tell you that these \"dumb\" questions are just a way to get to know the person being interviewed a little better. They watch for your reaction to the question more than anything. If you say, \"Dang, that\'s a dumb question!\" you might be seen as someone who questions authority. Or perhaps they just wanted to see if you can think on your feet so to speak. Yes, there are a lot of those dumb questions out in in interview land. You just have to kind of laugh it off inside to yourself and do your best not to let it phase you. Sounds like you did the right thing with your dad, btw.
