incompatibilities

we are worlds apart. and it's not all in my imagination! we are incompatible.
he is quick to jump in and profess his undying love, and i am slow and cautious. it unnerves me to be around him.
he seems ready to do whatever it takes to stay with me, yet i feel that is a sign of instability, or lack of integrity. i need a stable partner, someone firm in his stance, in himself.
i need him to treat me as an equal, not his queen. he has me on a pedestal.
