in the depths of it

I was lying in bed last night, and I was feeling so 'off and alien' from the day.
I felt unconsciously in the depths of things - enveloped by the darkness,

sadness and depression. Drowning. I thought to myself, with a new kind of tool

I encountered the other day, "What am I am going to do about this situation?"

"I know I have options..." So I decided to think about my feelings saying

things like "I am probably not the only one who gets down about things like this."

That's simply put - but it helped me create a water line for me to feel comforted

by and stabilized - so that as a result I felt myself in humanity again - and not like

an alien.

Things are ok this morning. Trying to figure out 'my boogie' and to not be afraid of the places

that takes me mentally and emotionally. I need to keep the 'tools' and willingness at the ready

to help myself if I find I suddenly take a wrong turn emotionally or mentally.

Have a great day all.

Hm-m-m-m. . . A decision making tool I picked up in Alanon and liked so well that some folks out there think I invented it is, "Separating the feelings from the facts." Both count mightily and work together continually, but in radically different ways. When I am making decisions and/or pondering the LFL (Long Fucking List) of conundrums in my life, it helps me to know which is which. It helps me decide which line of the Serenity Prayer which feeling and/or fact belongs with.

Just wondering if that could be similar to the tool you were attempting to describe. Just wondering. . . Have you spotted that I am a wondery wanderer?
