in my corner of the woods.......hugs!
Hey......so um yeah, hello, how is you?
I've been hiding under a mound of cotton. Cool comfortable cotton. Bed is a good place to be when you're beyond ......and in need of rest.
Some things to share ---
Today is Sam's Birthday. He has good friends here visiting from out of state. They are headed to the Atlanta Aquarium......he promised to send me a pic of the fish on the wall his Momma got for him as a commemorative nod to himself & his sister when they first opened the aquarium downtown Atlanta.
Sam's friends include two youngsters who are beyond excited to go visit the Atlanta Aquarium, they are 3 and 6 years of age.......should be wild, the little one is a runner and the older one more thoughtful and cerebral........by runner I mean he simply bolts and people try to run to catch him. He is a real handful, always happy and laughing.......accepts that he is in trouble and then takes off again. He is an irrepressible toddler.....exasperating and delightful........his brother tolerates and protects him too!
Sara is really sick at present, the doc gave her shots and antibiotics.........she has a terrible cough that just won't quit. She is pretty sure she has walking pneumonia, the doc seems to think it's something else......her cough is terrible, sounds like croup. Poor kid.........I'm worried about her! She's been sick since her trip to Texas. Hope she starts to improve soon........but that cough is nasty.
Sam took me to lunch and then to the movies on Monday. Sure was nice! He took me to Fireside Subs. I had their chicken salad on a wheat roll, it was really good. Sam had one of their famous subs......with steamed corned beef, pastrami .....all the good stuff I can no longer have. And he topped it all off with a medley of their hot sauces.....they have like 40 different kinds! Then we went to see "Maleficent".....with Angelina Jolie. It was quite the film. Sure does give a new slant on "Sleeping Beauty". We shared some gummy bears and enjoyed the story telling!
Not sure when the family is going to meet up for dinner to celebrate Sam.......hopefully soon! Sara and her Dad are supposed to go shopping tomorrow, but I'm not sure if Sara is up to going out. It can wait, health comes first!
The garage looks great. I got a lot more done & delivered a load of donations to Goodwill. That was a huge accomplishment. Still more to do, but for now I am very content. Not going back out there any time soon. Garage detail during the week-end followed by an afternoon out with Sam on Monday wore me beyond out.
I slept from early Monday night until this morning with a few breaks for snacks/water and bathroom breaks. The exhaustion hit first followed by chills, swollen glands, sore throat, ear pain.......body aches. Made some soup to warm myself up from the inside out, but it made me sick. Tried scrambled eggs later and that gave me a terrible tummy ache. Hard to figure out what to do sometimes.
I'm hungry again this morning, but I'm sort of afraid to eat. Thinking some yogurt and a few crackers might be ok. We'll see. Poor ol tummy, not freezing anymore, that's a good sign. Had a really crazy dream.......I was with a whole group of people targeted by evil bosses who tried to murder us all with hypodermic needles. In a city park in broad daylight in front of tons of witnesses who weren't paying ANY ATTENTION. sigh. but in the end, the cops caught the bad guys and took them away in handcuffs.
yay! i was the only one to survive the attack of the hypodermics.........they were putting me in protective custody and mentioning witness protection about the time I woke up. ..........sigh. wild.
the kitties are fed, chores are done........I can head back to bed. This is a flare......not sure how long a flare, hoping for a reprieve, but we'll see. If you're down for the count I hope you are taking care to rest and find a still place within to be peaceful, calm and content.......if you have an energy burst i hope you enjoy it to the fullest...........hugs, sparrow

Ruth,
Hope you are on the road to recovery. I have been down & out myself from overdoing it at the campground last Saturday. Not as sick as you as I have been able to eat normally (well, as much as my diet will allow), but I sure wish I could sleep like you. Anything over two straight hours is heavenly for me.
Sorry Sara is sick. Hope the meds will help her to get well soon.
Happy Birthday to Sam. Hope he has a good one. Glad the two of you had your day out Monday. There are two birthdays in my family today. A BIL & the hubby of my oldest niece. Send them cards - each got the same.
Loved hearing about the kids - especially the three year old. Reminds me of my granddaughter. She is a runner too. I have nicknamed her \"Scooter\" as she is so fast.
Take care.
maleficent huh? I saw The Fault in Our Stars this weekend. Interesting to watch a movie about chronically (and terminally) ill people.
I wish my garage was your garage. Then it would look better now. Mine\'s a big mess.
Hope your\'e resting!
Hug hug!
I\'m sorry to hear you are suffering from a flare - your poor tummy! I am glad you were able to get out with Sam and see a movie. I heard \"Malificent\" was so scary looking that Angelina Jolie\'s child was so scared of her dressed like that - didn\'t even recognize it was his/her own mama! Prayers for you to feel better, and prayers for Sara and her cough. xoxo, morebooks
I had a feeling you were wiped out, so sorry dear Ruthie.Still, I\'m so glad you attacked that garage, even though you\'re paying the price for it now, you did it . That\'s a great achievement to tackle such a physical job.Happy to hear that Sam took you out to the movies and for some yummy tucker, he just loves his mamma so.Just the two of you, very special, right before his birthday.Sure hope Sara recovers soon, she will be out of action with her singing for a while. So you just snuggle into your bed and don\'t you worry about a thing now.You have just taken that body on a couple of marathons, so time to recover now.Big hugs, ya precious soul xo
Hi Ruthie! Glad you got allot done in the garage. Happy Birthday Sam. That was nice Sam spending the day with you on Monday. Praying Sara gets to feeling better soon. Rest up my gf. I rested all of yesterday. Got out for abit this morning. We had awful storms here both days. Love ya kiddo. Hang in there. Xo
