in a pickle

So I'm finally registered to return to college. But now I'm rethinking my major. I work in the mental health field now, but the only way to advance at my workplace is with a bachelors in social work. So that's what I enrolled for since I've already been with this agency for two years I figured I might as well stay since it's a pretty nice job.
But my passion is with anything that has to do with the law. Growing up my family always said I should go to school to be a lawyer. That ship however has long sailed. But there is an associates or a bachelors in legal studies at the college I could do. And that has really got me thinking that maybe that's what I need to do. It's gonna be difficult to go back to school either way, I haven't been in a classroom in 10 years! But if I do enroll in the legal studies program I'm afraid of what my boss will think, considering I cannot do anything with that degree at our agency. I'm not sure whether I should stay with social work which I do enjoy but am not all that passionate about, or try a different career in something I know I like but do not know how I will like doing that as a profession (paralegal, courthouse, etc). Just not sure what to do at this point...
