In a funk

Hello SOTH - my summer vacation is moving right along. I'm getting stuff done - packing and trying to decide what is really important for me to keep.  SIGH .....The past few days I have been so sad, crying, just feeling lonely. My mom's birthday is this Thursday and I am wondering if that hasn't triggered my tears. I keep asking my mom, "what is it?" I have just felt like she is here with me and I have just been so teary, missing her so much. She was my best friend and the emptiness I feel sometimes is paralyzing to me.

Today was a better day- tomorrow I am going to be spending the day with a girlfriend, shopping & lunch. I'm looking forward to that as there is nothing like a girlfriend to listen and understand.

Hunter is applying for his driver's permit....yikes!!! where did that time go? Of course, couldn't help but wish his mom was here to experience that! I know there will be many times that I will wish that. I trust she is watching over him. He ended up with all A's @ the end of the year....so glad that the program  & school helped him so much.....he is determined....seems like he is maturing so fast and believes he will make it....at least that's what I believe....I sure love that kid.

The retreat is getting closer and I'm excited!! Saving my pennies !! Well, just checkin' in. Sending hugs to you all. Vicki, always Jennifer's mom

Yes, Vicki, time surely goes by so fast! It is wonderful to know that Hunter is doing so well. I'm sure his mom is watching over him, and that she is very proud of him!!

I find there is something very special in feeling our loved ones close to us.........Almost the same familiar emotions, vibes and inner happiness we experienced when they were in this life with us. During such moments I also end up crying, because my love is still as strong as it was before.

Loving hugs!! xxx

Hunter will make it because you are by his side doing what you do - loving him! I'm sure Jennifer is proud of both of you. Have a great time with your girlfriend - nothing like a good chat and some retail therapy to brighten the day:) Take care ~ Joanna x

Hi Vicki, I can imagine your mom's birthday approaching is making you tearful. It's ok my friend. You miss her, you love her and it's ok to cry if you need to. ♡
Hunter doing so well must warm your heart. I know Jennifer is so glad he has his grandmother in his life.

Love to you and dearest Jennifer, Linda

I am understanding that today is a tender one as you remember your sweet mom. I find that these days are in my DNA and no matter how life is in that moment they always cause me to halt and to pause.

Hoping your day with your gf was wonderful and the sorting of belongings is never an easy task. Truly, I felt as if I had wished I were a nomad with a tent when we made the move here and even now must be mindful to keep moving things along. :)

Hunter is growing up and it sounds as if he was very successful with his school year. Woo HOO! Hoping he does well with learning how to drive and that opens up a whole new world, doesn't it?!

Loving care always to Jennifer's mom from Douglas and me,
XO Joanie
