Illness and isolation

My illness makes me feel isolated. I sense a difference about me that raises an alarm within that I am different and so my anxiety flairs up and exacerbates an already sense of loneliness. I am starting to feel an acceptance of it and I am spending time with my family right now. I am not focusing on my difference which would rev up the upset, instead I am looking at the positive and relaxing as much as a I can.

Dunno. . . On the days when I can lovingly accept myself, warts, dysfunctions and all, I feel far more connected to the world around me than on my Perfect Delusion days and can sometimes even rejoice in the differences between myself and others around me rather than using those differences to compete with them. Which of us is The Right Normal?
