I wrote this post - before I wrote the last one.

I look at those who are really successful and marvel how

they manage their energies and life... I get stuck in the minutiae if left too

long to my own devices.

As I question myself and my life...so often I end up with a misty kind

of nothingness and need very much to be in touch with people.

I get stiff and cloudy with illness.

This may sound crazy or clear but I know now we tell each other who we are

to each other - and I must respond to that

I know I have to accept some kind of structure (the commonality) that is part of humanity otherwise

self definition only leads me to darkness and illness. I

think adopting some kind of meaning - structure that is not my own is helpful to keep

me healthy - it helps me exist in commonality. And yet I know that I can choose my kind of

reinforcement. I think what I am struggling with here is the need to see the commonality in life but then also dealing with the challenges in life as victoriously as possible.

The psycho nag flag that waves at me in this is from the times I have ground my self-esteem into the ground by comparing my insides to other people's outsides. Imagining the strangers I saw smiling in the park were perfect gave me allot of unrealistic expectations. It got even nuttier when I compared myself to media images.

Dunno. . . It's a slow day in the forums. I mostly need somebody to harass.

I really appreciate this arfie! I so see your point. I really hope I can get to that place where I can just see myself as different
and be ok with that. I mean, I have kind of noticed that lately. The beauty of some people in my life has really impressed me. I live alone right now - and it kind of makes me feel like an alien to the society at large. I just need to be ok with doing my own thing - I called a new therapist today. Hopes thats wills helps me!

Why do you see yourself as different? I honestly think you put too much pressure on yourself, Mark. I could send messages to you all day long to tell you how different I am, but is being different so terrible?
