I was praying harder than I have in a while
So I had a little private meltdown session. I had a moment when I just broke down. So many things have happened in my life that have just left me agnostic. I said "OK God, I give up, please help me. Guide me please." and just out of nowhere I got this call I've been waiting for since January. It was the person from Special Olympics. Wanting to get my son setup to participate. I know that may seem like its not a big deal, but its more important than anyone could know.

There is something called , Divine Providence" which is when God allows something bad to happen, to bring about a greater good....I have had a few examples of that in my own life and I feel so Blessed as a result.
The way I look at it.....We don't always know the reason behind everything but I know someone who does and I always trust in my Higher Power to do what's best for me and for the people around me as well.
Yes, The Special Olympics is very very important to all those who participate in it. I know some people who have been involved with it, so you are very right on that! I hope they never lose funding for it.

Let me follow up on this. When I got sober and started doing the AA deal, miracles kept happening. I didn’t win the lotto, but things that could have gone my way, did. I am a firm believer in the higher power within me.
Bob, its been so inspiring to watch all the kids and the adults helping out. When my son was in elementary school he did what they called Sports Fest every year in April. So he is beyond happy about them calling. So I'm trying to focus on the blessings lately and learning from the the rest. Or at least I'm trying lol
Jeff, I'm at Step 1 :) Now I just gotta figure out the rest. I'm just thankful I found God again today. So I'm trying hard not to think too much about the negatives today.
