I've missed being here....
Hi. I hope my friends here are all doing okay. I see my last journal entry was in 2016!! Yikes! My computer died at that time and it was nearly a year before I got another (Christmas present from my son who had gotten a new, good-paying job that he loves.) I looked on here a few times since, but the web site had changed and I was so far behind and just didn't have the energy to try to catch up with everyone. But you have all always been in my prayers. I still think journaling is healing. I had been keeping an old fashioned one after the computer died. We've gone through some tough times the last couple years, but I feel I'm actually in a pretty good place now. My son Matt who enjoyed working for years at a Pawn Shop, suddenly woke up and decided he needed something with a future! He is now using his civil engineering degree and is a team leader in the CAD department of a growing broadband networking company. He now lives just 150 miles away compared to the previous 300. Until CoVid, he had come home once or twice a month for the past year helping us with projects around the house. My youngest daughter Skye lives right next door with her boyfriend. She provides home services for developmentally challenged people. Her boyfriend is a kitchen supervisor at a nearby institution and is taking IT classes. Their little dog, Cudi, stays with us while they work. My middle child, Sabrina, realized her life-long dream of living on the coast. After their youngest graduated, she and her husband moved out to California. I am happy for her, but really disappointed that she is so far away. (And really, CALIFORNIA???) My DH is not in great health, but is still fairly active. He does all the grocery shopping and cooking, and yard work and takes care of a little rural cemetary where his ancestors are buried. It had been neglected for years - there isn't even a real road to it. I like to scrapbook and plant flowers and care for our little dog. We lost our Queen Mitzi in 2016, but rescued Freeda, an outgoing little chiweenie. I spend time with my sister on the farm and, sometimes on good days, care for her 4-year-old granddaughter. My sister and her husband recently bought a place at a resort on the Missourri River and we hope to get the families together for fome fishing. That's all for now.

It's good to hear how you've been doing. The changes in the site were very difficult for a lot of people to work out and the new format unpopular causing many to leave. Every so often someone, like you, checks in again and I have hopes that this may eventually lead to a revival of the vibrant, friendly community there used to be.
It's so nice to heart from u! I'm happy that u are back and look forward to your journals. I love your daughters name Skye- that's a name I always considered if one day I have a daughter <3
