I've had a very busy week....relaxing!

I thank the good Lord for my sister…she is the best.  Last weekend she took me to Sioux Falls for a spa day.  I had never had a massage before and, oh, it was heavenly!  We lolled at the spa for most of the afternoon, then went out to eat with her daughter, my son, and some friends.  We had a great night’s sleep and breakfast at a nice motel.  Of course, my sister, P, cannot possibly go to Sioux Falls without hitting the mall.  She used to have a hard time keeping up with me, but now I’m the one always lagging behind.  It’s OK.  If I only make it to a couple stores, I won’t be tempted to spend money!  We headed home after lunch.  I guess Mitzi, our miniature dachshund, missed me.  D thought he lost her yesterday.  She had disappeared for hours.  He finally found her in the corner under my desk, curled up around a shoe she had taken from my closet.
I had a day and a half at home, then D took me camping for the rest of the week.  Finally, we got to use the travel trailer.  We purchased it just before my cancer diagnosis, so we have had very little opportunity to use it since.  Well, except when Daddy was living with us.  We were glad to have it then, but I wouldn’t call that camping.  Actually, I never have been an avid camper, but I enjoyed going fishing occasionally and hiking through the trails.  Now, however, I cannot tolerate the heat, and walking to the shower house and back leaves me breathless.  Still, I did enjoy the time with D.  We could sit outside in the cool of the early morning and I even went for a boat ride.   During the day, we stayed in the air-conditioned camper, played cards, worked crosswords and watched movies.  D went fishing a couple times.  I just stayed indoors or in the shade and read and played with the dogs.  I guess the change in routine was a good thing.  I came home feeling somewhat refreshed.

Wow, a massage! How wonderful! If I could, I would get one every month at least. It does me good to have a good massage.

I agree on the camping. I don\'t do \"real\" camping anymore. I can only do the air conditioned camper thing too. I\'m glad you got out, though. The fresh air is good for you.

Many blessing to you dear.
