I took a walk by myself!

So after some encouragement from my fiance (thanks IM technology) I made it out the door and walked a circuit of about a mile that included a stop at the library. I returned my book AND made it outside by myself today!
He suggested I listen to music while I walk and that really helped. I think I've been afraid to go for a walk by myself because then I would just be really alone with my thoughts while walking. I didn't realize until just now why I was so afraid of going out by myself. At home, I have the computer, books or tv to distract me. On a walk by myself, it would just be me and my brain. Scary concept. So the music - yes the music - was a fantastic idea.
So I will have to create the new goal of going for that walk by myself every day....
