I think I\'m on to something!

My experience this week end got me to thinking about all of the negative thoughts that I have and where they came from. I can trace almost all of them to my father. No matter how hard I tried something, it was never hard enough. After a while, I stopped trying. No matter what I did, it was never right or good enough. Now, I see myself as a screw-up and cannot see anything possitive in what I produce. My thoughts about my self worth are influenced by the comments made to me by the only male role model for most of my life. It was he who taught me what it was to be a man. But I've surpassed my father. He has no degree amd has held 16 jobs in the last 20 years and was fired from all 16. I have an undergradute degree in Accounting and a Masters in Business Administration and have held four jobs in the past 12 years, and left all (but my current one) of my own accord.  So what are those comments worth? Every website I've visited, every book I've read say basically the same thing. Our thoughts control our mood, we control our thoughts. So, now how do I change the way I think? How do I shift my paradigm?
