wazzup?  me?  i could tell u that i just used the neilmed sinus treatment thingy, but that's not exactly info ya share.........but if i did, i would tell you it simultaneously helps and freaks me out.  yes, i'm making a wonky face and giggling!

the temps have already gone from the 50's to the mid 60's.  nice weather......soft sunshine.  the kitties are eating breakfast, enjoying fresh water.....and i put a fresh D battery in the smoke alarm and got it back on the wall.  and put D battery on the shopping list.  along with jelly and eggs.  i'm a grape jelly girl.  not that often, but when it's a grape jelly on toast kind of morning where would ya be without it?
which made me think of cinnamon sugar toast.  growing up we used to mix up cinnamon sugar and pour it into a shaker.  it sat on the counter next to the toaster..........it's been ?  decades since i've had that. 
last year i bought an inexpensive wall calendar.  at this point the top half which shows pretty pictures of birds........has curled over and inward.  i thought if i used clothespins to clip them back it would help........it looks completely ridiculous.  more giggling........maybe for 2014 i can spring for the $2 calendar instead of the $1 version? 
the inbox is above the full line.  the better i feel the more i notice the details......i'm behind and sure tidying is needed BUT it's not that bad.  i'm in the mood to declutter.  the bedroom seems like the place to start........but the garage is always at the top of the list.  i could do that......or....i could go for a drive.  thinking of that promise i made to myself to put my feet in the lake water this summer. 
whaddya think? fun or chores?  hmmmmm, ah gee, what to do, what to do!  it feels like if i go in the direction of the lake there will also be some great yard sales with weather as fine as this..........what is it about the call of the yard sale that makes me think i have room for more treasures????  i started going junk picking with my momma as a toddler. the pull is strong............to go, you get to walk, talk to nice folks.......barter for deals.  what's not to love?  cheap reads save a ton of money. 
what else?  well the saga of the AT&T phone thing did not exactly end when it ended.  no it did not.  after being told what would happen back in August......that the credit would be applied, that i had a zero balance nothing was done and i was told a bunch of bullpucky about it all by sassy so n so's.......but they don't know what it is to dig in for the long haul.  i do.  i have tenacity and patience.  in sept. kathleen told me it was again all settled, the credit would be applied, zero balance.  then when i went back to check, i got more malarkey.  rude much??? oh yeah.  so i battled on.  they promised me a call in 48-72 hours.  nothing happened for another 8 days.  so.........yesterday around 4 pm I did followthrough. 
i now have an official confirmation # that indicates the credit has been applied to my account.  here's the odd thing.  instead of the $370-80 dollars they told me, Angie says they have credited me with $406.98.  Whoa.  it gets weirder and weirder.  why?  cause life is strange.  this made my normal bill for bundled services of a little over $100 reduced to only $37.23.  I actually argued that they had made a mistake and now overcredited me but they INSIST that it is all true.  I asked for an e-mail confirmation in writing stat........good ol Angie says they don't do that.......she started laughing and said I'm giving you GOOOD NEWSSSS!  can't you celebrate a little?  i sighed........and said well Angie dear.......i've been told that it's handled and then told it's not even being handled for going on 3 bill cycles at this point.  i have less faith in AT&T/you at present.  you have to re-earn my trust at this point.  ya'll have been storytellers and shaken my faith.  i want it in writing.......and then she says well, it is going to take another two billing cycles to show the credit.  seriously?  i mean SERIOUSLY?  we had a talk about service vs. good service at this point.  when i got done she said wow you really know your stuff.  there is a lot i could learn from you.  she sounded genuine, not like she wanted to clobber me............if she was in fact rolling her eyes at the bossy ol dame on her line, she didn't reveal it to me.......LOL!  i'm usually a softie, but when it comes to right and wrong i have a steel spine like any southern magnolia!  i may not have been born here, but i have absorbed the metal (and mental toughness) within the gentility of the southern folks i have lived among all these many years. 
they have taught me their ways and i have listened.  what in the world is that NOISE?  some kids are out on the street making a strange mix of a high pitched squealy whistling sound.........super high pitched, a sound only little girls can make that old people sadly can hear.  wish this noise fell into the dog whistle category........it's ok for a sec but overall annoying.  make it stop officer!  not that serious, just one more reason to pull a pair of comfy old jeans on and dig out my pumas.  don't laugh, but i think i feel good enough to wear tie shoes like other adults today.  that is really saying something...........taking on shoestring world for one day only.  the further the kids get down the street the louder they sound.......how do they do that????  i thought the hearing was supposed to start to go at this age.......guess not.  huh!!!
i made milk chocolate brownies last night......sprinkled them with salty slivered almonds and then right when they came out of the oven i sprinkled them with powdered sugar.  if you want to make them really pretty........and you can do this on cakes too..........have someone hold a paper doily over the top while you sprinkle the powdered sugar through the fancy doily..........it looks so pretty and lacy and ...ha ha as if you spent hours on the details instead of mere seconds........i like dark fudgier brownies but these are not slouchy at all.....they have a very melty quality.......less dense, but different that cake mix.  a new recipe, it's very good.......maybe i will add a pint of ice cream to my list.  brownie ala mode after a walk today might be pretty awesome!
i'm trying to avoid my head.  see my head is saying u need to go out and deadhead the roses, u need to roll up the mats on the patio & store them til spring. u need to do this and u need to do that.  chores are important, organization is good to have.............but maybe just maybe i can get out of my head and go OUT THERE for the sole purpose of FUN????? 
i could even check the movie listings maybe.........after the walk, the yard sailing of it all.......i could manage a great mental escape too and see something on the BIG SCREEN.  hmmmmm.  i'm starting to feel some happy bubbles coming up.............this plan is forming .......drive north to the national park. take in the historic buildings.......the bridge, the shoreline......people watch.  put toes in water......breathe in the air.......enjoy and repeat.  then wander into the adjacent town and do some junk picking.......then head to the movies.  maybe even grab a bite out.......grab the 6 items on your list and go home tired but happy.  this is a big plan, pretty auspicious, but maybe baby.  may be.  if i need to do less i can always come home.  i have a new top i can wear.  it's a pretty blue green scoop necked tunic......with tiny white buttons and the cutest pockets ever.  they called it "ocean" ......lol......but it is cute, pair it with a sweater, jeans and pumas and hit the streets.  sam gave me some hilarious socks in my china treasure gift bag......they have a funny big nosed face on top.......puma liners from china.  ha ha ha ha ha......gonna go with a pony tail cause if i start messing with my hair i won't ever leave.  now to go find my recyclable shopping bag to hold treasures.........here's a funny thing to share.......the company i was with for so long just had their biggest annual conference of the year in DC......Arnold Schwarzenegger was a featured speaker, so a lot of my former work chums had a photo op with "the terminator."  random thing to tell ya i know. 
time for me to go before i lose my nerve or subject my energy to chores..............gonna make a run for the border of freedom!  is this really happening?  am i leaving the compound for fun?  ............????????
