I still have to deal with Smokey's car which was his baby
I still have to deal with Smokey's car which was his baby. It is in his name but I have storage insurance on it because I do not drive. ICBC wants the Letters of Administration before I can get the car in my name so I can't sell it yet. There is so much paperwork they want you to fill in before this all happens. I am waiting on the lawyer for the Letters of Administration. It is taking time because we can't contact Smokey's two estranged daughters. It is frustrating. Most of Smokey's estate is settled, which is good for me. I can't touch his bank account until I get the Letters of Administration because he died with no will. This will linger on until I get that darn Letters of Administration. When I person dies, it leaves the person in charge to deal with an incredible amount of paperwork to do and to settle things. I feel like I am still in mourning because of the stupid car. It isn't a stupid car but I want to let it go. I didn't do much today just grocery shopping, eat my lunch and sweep the floors. I spent my day brooding in my chair and watching TV. I am still brooding about all these things. I have choices but don't want to do volunteer work until I get a part-time job which I am looking for each morning. The old fashioned way was to walk door to door to leave your resume or fax. The modern day is to email your resume, which is the way I choose. I don't drive so this latter method is easier for me. I don't know what I am doing wrong. I left my job on Aug. 26, 2008 and have been emailing since that time. I have had to odd interview but no job offers. The question I ask myself is what am I do wrong. There are a lot of people unemployed so it might not be what am I doing wrong but who I am competing with and how young. I am 54. Sometimes I think it is an age thing. I am over 50. There are a lot of young people looking for work. My brother Don had two interviews yesterday so we shall see if he gets a bite. I am not that bad off as I live in Canada and get part of Smokey's pension. A part-time job would just make me comfortable. I guess I do feel sad and don't know why. I think of Smokey's car which is a Chevy Cavelier 2005 in red. He loved the car and it was his baby. Getting rid of it is sad for me as Smokey loved it so much. I am really going to be upset and sad once the whole esate including the car is completed. It will be the end for me in dealilng with Smokey's estate and that is cause for tears. Thinking about it makes me want to cry so I can predit my feelings.
