I SAW THE MOST AMAZING THING TODAY!!

July 15, 2009:  Okay...I took Adam in for his test today.  It was no big deal.  I drove so he could save his gas and "just because."   The Extreme Makeover is doing a re-do of a house about 2 miles from here.  On the way home from the test, we decided to go check it all out.  A friend of the family, lived in that house, then a rental, many, many years ago.   So, I have been in it.  Another friend lives just cock-eyed from it.  Adam and I went to the "other" friends house and parked in her drive.  A LOT of the road is blocked off from traffic!  But, her house is just before the security.  Anyway, we walked to another neighbors house and had a front row seat of the house being blown up!!!  It was awesome!  Earlier in the day they blew the barn up!  I have NEVER seen anything like it!   The show will air in September.  It will be about Ash Grove, MO.  When you see, if you watch, the house blow up....know I was there!  It was such a fun thing to share with Adam!  Ahh...memories! The house they are building, in one week, I have heard, will cost $250,000.  It will, again from what I heard, be a two story.  I can't wait to go see, and photo, the new house. Of course, I took pictures of the before, during, and after explosion.  However, at this moment, I can't seem to get my photos off my camera and onto the computer! Anyway, it is very cool, to me, to be this close to something I have always before, just seen on TV.  If anyone is interested....you can go to KSPR 33 News, Springfield, MO and check out all the info.   I will post photos as soon as I can get my camera to cooperate!

I watch the Home and Garden channel all the time. This program is a spin-off from that and it is on Sunday nights here in California. I love it. They are always helping a family who is in need and that touches your heart. I cry alot when I watch that show. My husband doesn\'t understand why I would watch it if it makes me cry - he doesn\'t understand they are good tears - HELLO. I do wonder how these people who need help are able to pay the taxes on a new home, etc. I have heard that some could not afford their new digs. Anyone else hear this. NOW, that would be sad. They don\'t pay for everything.

What a story! I live in Maryland and many years ago, they blew up the old Capital Center, which was the home to many concerts that I had been to. It was a bit of a sad day, but now, Fedex center, home to the Washington Redskins, stands in that general vicinity. It must have been quite exciting to watch a controlled explosion!
