I remain extremely depressed

Wish it was happier.  Checks come in and they go out.  Because of wedding anniversary, my spouse DEMANDED an expensive present that I cannot afford and money issues have escalated beyond my control and sanity.  I am a walking zombie.  Giving up on outside consulting almost certainly for food and with that goes much of everything else.  She does not understand how careful I have to be with my money but she has been spending hers lavishly until now when she hit a brick wall too, so she came down on me and wanted her GODDAMN ANNIVERSARY PRESENT OR YOU GET OUT NOW. Wish I had not married her.  Big mistake.

Why dont you tell her this? Calmly sit her down adn tell her in the nicest way that her demands cause you great stress, that you feel you must save your money and tell her that you are depressed adn need help now. good luck

Or, why not divorce her? Move in with a friend or family... get out of the stress, look how many angry faces you have!!! geeze you just look miserable, that is no way to live. make the change and make it now

MAYBE A DIVORCE WOULD BE CHEAPER THAN THE GIFT,AND ALSO IT WILL LAST FOREVER,IT CAN BE THE GIFT THAT KEEPS ON GIVING AS THEY SAY,AND THEY ALSO SAY GIVING IS BETTER THAN RECEIVING,SO U CAN\'T LOSE.IT\'S THE THOUGHT THAT COUNTS,AND IT DOESN\'T SOUND AS IF SHE WERE GRATEFUL OR THOUGHFUL.GIVE YOURSELF THAT GIFT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!SINCERELY,WITH RESPECT,AND CARING!!!!!!!!!!!!

a wife will make or break you. That\'s what my older brother told me back when I was 20 and he is absolutely right. They can create heaven or make hell for you, can\'t they? Ask yourself this, if you were on your own and not with her, would you be able to make ends meet? Would you be doing as poorly as you are now? If not, that\'s an argument for leaving her because if you do at least you won\'t be around someone who as you said, \"hates you\".
