I released Smokey's ashes today.

I released Smokey's ashes today at the tip of Garry Point, Steveston, BC on a sunny and windy day.  I should have taken the wind factor into consideration when releasing Smokey's ashes but did not.  Inside the container was a plastic bag with the ashes.  I could not open it.  Don did with his teeth.  Smokey would have chuckled.  He gave the bag back to me.  I just released the ashes into the wind, the beach, the water, myself, my pants, my hands, on the backpack and on Don as well.  The two of us got covered with Smokey's ashes.  Smokey would have just laughed at this point as it would have been something out of a comedy.  On a bright note, it was like being surround with Smokey's love for the both of us.  He loved my brother Don  as a friend as well.  We went to the Buck N Ear and had lunch with one beer to cheer my Smokey the love of my life and my reason for living.  Now I have no love of my life or no reason for living yet I still breath each and every day.  He was a good, kind, sharing, giving, decent and loving man who is sorrily missed by all his friends, family and anyone whose life he had touhed.  Smokey had touched many people in a positive way and some I don't even know about.  He was my bear and my sweety.  When we first met I could not remember "Smokey" and my room mate said it is important to remember his nick name.  I always associated it with Smokey The Bear as only you can prevent forest fires.  From then on, I never forgot his nickname.  He is sorrily missed indeed from Diane
