I never knew
I didn't know what was wrong with me but at a very young age I felt something was broken inside. Now I am diagnosed bipolar and the implications are larger than I could have known. This illness has affected my whole life in a very negative way. And all I can do now is try different medications to try to feel a little bit better. I miss the mania in some ways. Now I barely feel anything at all, and have no interest in anything either. I feel dead inside and even so I'd say in some ways it's better than how I was. What a waste of a life.

Your life isn\'t a waste, my friend, and neither are you. I am so sorry you are feeling this way and praying for healing in your heart and mind.
Being bipolar is a hard thing. It causes everything to feel magnified, which makes everything else seem a lot worse than it is. There are no easy answers. One thing I DO know, though, is that I am here for you, holding your in my heart.
Huggggssss to you.
Heretic,
You hang in there, your feelings will even out and then you will be more interested in all that life has to offer. One minute at a time and go easy on yourself, you are worth it.
Hello Heretic, I am so sorry you feel this way. Depression is a horrible thing. I get like that in the winter, I just don\'t care about anything, even things I need to care about. It feels like I am dead but still alive, a living death.
I do get reprieves with the hypomania and enjoy them very much. Hang in there heretic. Keep trying, keep reaching out to find enjoyment and peace. Make yourself a yummy hot drink, eat something delicious, stroke yourself, hug your teddy bear, listen to beautiful music, read something inspirational. Do something today just for you.
I understand so much how you feel. Depression is so horrible but I believe you are stronger than it. You have so much strength in you. You are worthy of much love and goodness in your life. I see so many lovely things about you. I have so much faith and hope for you. Please be kind to heretic she deserves lots of love, peace and comfort. I am glad and proud to be your friend.....many hugs to you.
I never knew what was wrong with me either. Depression then lots of hypomania. I thought I was borderline because of the hypomania. I didn\'t get my diagnosis until 3 years ago and I am 48. Maybe I could have saved my marriage. Maybe I could have done a lot of things differently. I just have to look to the future and hope that with medication things get better. They have and I bet things will get better for you too.
