I need to save myself
Things aren't going so well where I am right now. I'm starting to feel trapped and in danger. I'm sure the elder and others are sleeping comfortably and have no care for the fact that I don't want to be here. But whatever they feel or think, I am not happy here. I'm going to suggest to them that I simply rent a car myself and travel back to Maryland on my own. There's a part of me that wants a righteous justification but simply truthfully this is what I need to do for myself. They have ideas and plans for me which I do not agree with. I'm starting to feel captive and controlled with no choice.

I'm sorry you are feeling so trapped, and yes you Do Have Choice. You've stated what you can do to help yourself and your first responsibility is YOU!
Did you travel with anyone from Maryland who knows your challenges? If so, could you be open with them? I so hope so!!!
(((Hugs)))) Mark, keep posting so you know you are not alone!!
You need to do what's best for your mental health. Sorry you are having a hard time. Take care.
Take yourself out of that situation. Listen to your gut, your instinct, your self. If you feel unsafe, it's important to protect your well-being.
Thanks you guys!
I’m so sorry to hear about your situation. I didn’t realize that your MD elders sent you there. I’m glad you have an escape plan. Hope you’re back in MD soon! Keep us posted.
Are you on your meds.... If you are paranoid schizophrenic you need to take your antipsychotics
Big hug sweetie
Is it your Aunt that lives in Maryland?
I'm hoping that you'll be going where you can get the support that you need
I agree that taking care of you is of most importance
Big hug and a blessing sweetie..xo
Thanks very much you guys!
Hi Markus. I have been absent a few days, and sorry to read this. Hope you find comfort soon. Hugs.
Thanks Nikki!
SHE'S BACK! ! !
methinks i am past my "we" episode. the well-defined we upon my little ship has stabilized with the "juvenile idiopathic arthritis" diagnosis which gave us a name for and a path to follow for treatment of our 11 year old's agony of unexplained "growing pains." he is responding well to treatment, but i have been fielding a series of ptsd flashbacks to my own juvenile arthritis. i have learned more about arthritis in the past two weeks than i have learned in the rest of my 60 odd years of living with it.
should i feel guilty for happy dancing that the first thread i viewed upon readmitting you to my newsfeed was coached in the first person singular? platitudes of sorrow for the plight and songs of hope for healing. the healing of one is the healing of us all, but the healing still happens one heartbreak at a time.
prayers ongoing that you find ". . . righteous justification but simply truthfully . . .that. . . this is what I need to do for myself."
SO glad you are back!
thanks arfie!
