I'm having a ??? moment...

...but at the same time I really feel too embarassed to toss this up on the boards, so I'm going to leave it here instead.
This has developed over the last three days and it's kinda leaving me...confused, let's say?
It's like this: So my college algebra course is in high gear now, and I can tell from the syllabus I have for it that I'm going to need help with it.  I think I'm okay with the first week's material; but after that all bets are going to be off (one of the perils of only meeting in the course once a week, I guess).
I mentioned this to one of my trainers last Friday, and she mentioned that she's good at math and would be willing to help me a little.  Here's where this gets uncomfortable.  I usually see her the afternoon after the class meets...but she's not who I regularly work with, and I'm not particularly fond of asking to work with a specific trainer because they're all fantastic at the studio where I work out.  Plus -- and this much is obvious -- I don't want to be dependent on her.  But...at the same time...I feel this need to have my options open...
...I mean, it's already shaping up to be a hard semester as it is (and it's going to get worse later...but that's another discussion for another day and probably will require a live chat), and I don't feel I can afford to struggle on something for very long.
I can make time to visit the tutoring center so that I can still complete my assignments, but I'd feel a lot more at ease if I understood what I was doing sooner instead of later.
If you get a chance to read this (and if you can), can you drop some input on this?
