I'm getting better

It seems I'm getting better.  I still miss my husband but I'm doing much better than when I posted my fictional story Embracing Insanity here months ago.  I noticed that I no longer need to come to the site as much.  I notice that I'm looking to the advantages of being single.  I'd trade it in for my husband, of course, but  that's not possible.  I don't see marriage in my future but I wouldn't say it's impossible either.  I haven't cried in months.
All signs of healing.  I thank God for it.

I read a book the other day about strife.  It's changed my life.  Before I was constantly bickering with my father.  Now, we're getting alone.  I'm moving this weekend and I'm glad of it, but I know we're capable of getting along and there is comfort in that.
I'm so glad there are books written that can teach us something.  It saves us from reinventing the wheel.  It gives us a life perspective we'd miss left on our own.
In the months and years to come, I will probably not need this site as much.  Perhaps not at all.  Maybe I'll stick around only to help others who are going through this.  Today I'm smiling.

Wow, what a long, uphill battle you had, lots of doubts along the way. I\'m here on the sidelines as you cross the finish line and now you\'re walking on more level ground instead of stumbling up such a steep hill. All the best to you!!

Congratulations on your progress of inward healing from the loss of your husband. I don\'t cry as much either but I love this site as we can talk about anything or everything. I don\'t use it as much to vent about Smokey as I use it to talk about what is going on in my life. I find this site very useful to me still. All the best on your healing and growth and all the best living on your own. I am happy that you and your father are getting along. I use books to help me in my inward journey and still read the bible daily. These are tools that God has for us in our journey. All the best from Diane B.

GOOD FOR YOU!! So happy for you. Books have given me the tools, many times, to help me solve problems. Of course, the Bible, has the answers too.
