I'm FURIOUS!!!

I know I've journaled a few times about my son's difficulties at school and about losing my cool with the vice-principal and well, I just got served.  He filed a FINS petition against me and I get to go to court next month for truency, being nonsupportive of the school and as a mom.
I'm crying and mad and really trying not to break my fast by doing anything as out of control as what I feel right now :)

Something is terribly off about this vice principal.

Some times sticking up for what we think is right creates this kind of reaction. Any one with any courage has to deal with this kind of thing from time to time. I have been dealt unfair and discriminating injustices and it was all built on another person control feature and ignorance (lack of awareness).

On line, You are an entirely sensitive and caring person. If you are up against some one who is NOT and they are in a power position and you challenge their power they do snuff. This is true. I can not help but say it should be expected.

I am sorry you have to go to court. It doesn\'t mean that what is happening is in any way true. Take Care and drink lots of H2O maybe a stern walk to get the anger rolling off.

It was my feeling during my meetings with this man that our conversations had more to do with power than my child. I am completely appalled after reading his affadavit to the court. An example being that during a period of absences & sleepiness in class, it is not reported that I ever communicated with the school when I specifically talked to the homeroom teacher about the fact that during that time of year, my son suffers from terrible allergies (and always has) and that the Dr. was trying different prescriptions to try to get this under control.

It just irks me that things like this had to intentionally be left out of the report because I got angry and also sent an email over that incident because my son was made to stand in the corner due to his drowsiness while ill!!! I even journaled here about it!!

I\'m more calm now and I realize it is what it is and is not what I know to be the truth. It really is just horrifying, though, that they can write up this \"documented\" report that truly makes it sound like I\'m up for horrible mother of the year - and that good people have to go through grief when I am sure the school & court has better uses of their time!!

This is horrible in the extreme! But I think you\'re the BEST kind of mom--one who is always in her kid\'s corner and stands up for them! HUGS to you! I agree with a brisk walk--always cools my head when I get really worked up. You have every right to your anger though! How they treat kids in school borders on cruel and unusual at times...

Thanks Humunculus! As I was reading further in report, the teacher (the one I suspected being part of the initial problem) had written in during that period of allergies that she was concerned about drug use due to the tiredness and red eyes - and this entire time I\'ve been arguing that they were labeling my son & worsening the problem and they were saying, oh, no, we aren\'t doing any such thing!! Grrrr....

But, thank you for your support!!!

Is home schooling him a possibility or would that interfere w/ your schooling? It is horrible that the majority of schools and teachers only know how to deal with completely \'average\' children.

They cannot handle very smart, very creative, or anyone that does not fit a mold.

Sorry you had added stress during your special time.
