I like your way!

I was liberated by thoughts which were inspired today. I called

my father, while I was in distress but I was owning

my emotional state. I talked to Dad and he seemed

struggling with getting on with taking care of his 5 children

and an ailing wife. I realized he was quite emotional and

that we all are struggling emotionally to

get through the rudiments and practicals of surviving

with our emotions in full gear - vrrrooommm.

I realized I am a very emotional person, that my family is

quite emotional. I realized later on while sitting in services

(I sat out the conducting part of it this evening ti rest) that I was

so much trying to find the right way to move myself forward

in life...'bullet proof'...With consideration of the feelings I am managing and the direction

I am going in

as well as taking example from how how I was shown and taught

how to behave. I thought about my last therapist who told me

'after all, we're all just people' - relief!!!  that so rung a bell tonight.

It lit the way! I saw there is no right way to conduct my life

in the major sense of my emotions. We all have a way...My last therapist had her way,

a great inspiring way in that (I miss her very much and how relaxing she was

to be around) and I have my way. I can keep focused on the practicals of

life - but for the life I am sharing with family and friends we each

might add the spice of the way each of us handle life.

In that instance I could look beyond myself

and see how my Dad and my siblings all have a very specific way

of dealing with life....much it reflection and details about pragmatics

and logic and safety. Each of us with our own ways - our own worlds -

but very much guided by the family tradition that comes from maybe

not liking things to get too dynamic or too subject to the forces

which would get us into trouble or pain if we did not parse

it out. It's maybe a legacy of pain that I am able to see past now!! I am so lucky!! I love my family!

What a lot of insights today! Most of us do have strong relationships within our families, both positive and negative.

It's good that you can see the positives today and love them!
