I like and respect myself and expect the same out of a relationship

I like myself and respect myself.  I expect the same out of  a relationship with the opposite sex.  As women, some of us really are weak when it comes to the opposite sex.  I am a weak woman when it comes to the opposite sex.  I have a back bone.  I should use it in the relationship.  I am a strong person as well.  I don't have to bow down to any man's wishes or wants for me.  I know who I am, what I want and what I don't want.  It's a good thing to know your own mind.  I am just reeling from the effects of the fight and it takes me a few days to calm down.  It is just the way I am. Dave hasn't called or anything so I am not expecting any effort on his part as he can be  a lazy man and not put out any effort at all.  It's the way he is and Rob is as well. They expect they are the bosses and women should cater to them.  It's not how a good relationship works.  I am kind of disappointed that Dave did not call me on one hand.  On the other hand, it is typical Dave and what else should I expect.  This way I am not disappointed at all on lack of effort on his part.  I am still brooding and will be for awhile.  From the brooding one in Richmond, BC Canada - Diane Baillie
