I kicked him out????
My husband's snoring is constant now. He starts in 10 minutes after his head hits the pillow and never stops. I cannot sleep with the noise. The doctors say he must lose weight if he wants to stop snoring. he says it is allergies. i spent a year just ignoring the issue. Then I spent a year trying air purifiers, anti snore straps, pillows, etc...and he went to the doctor, but nothing helped and he just gave up and decided he would snore from now on.
Now I am on my third year of poor sleep and it turned into almost no sleep. I was down to maybe 4 hours a night and that frequently still periodically hearing him snoring.
A gentle nudge did not wake him up when he was fast asleep either, so finally I started waking him up every time he was snoring. That means like 10 times a night. He got angry. He said I needed to stop. But I can't sleep and that is what I told him if I can't sleep because of his snoring I am going to wake him up so he is awake too.
He has started sleeping in another room. At first I was so happy. I got to sleep. It was wonderful. I would sleep 8 hours at a time which I had not done in 20 years as he was always a restless sleeper. It was so quiet and the bed so still. But although I was happier my husband is so angry over it. He brings up the fact that he is in another room in a hostile tone and in front of others which is so embarrassing.
I tried to talk to my friend about it and she said I kicked him out. I told her I didn't. I just woke him up to stop the snoring. she said yeah you kicked him out. It is the same thing. Well it isn't to me. He didn't like not sleeping and moved to the other room to get some sleep. I know the feeling. That is what he has done to me all this time. He was well aware for the last 18 months I was getting very little sleep, but he tried for a bit, but then decided it really isn't his fault he snores and so it is just too bad. He says I am not allowed to blame him for my lack of sleep. So I am the mean one waking him up over and over for a month when he did it to me for a couple years. Granted mine was on purpose and his was not, but he was aware that he kept me awake and stopped trying to do anything to help the situation. Basically I was told to suck it up buttercup.
So once again I am the bad guy. Wish I'd get used to it, but even uninvolved people who claim to be my friends think I am so I must really be. I really don't know what value I have to anyone. It doesn't seem to be any so I don't know why I am still here.

Sleep deprivation is a form of torture. that's a fact. Soo.. your husband is allowed to torture you? Your not allowed to want to NOT be tortured? I don't think so. you need sleep. I need sleep. if you want to function normally - you need sleep. I think your issue is a common one - have you asked a dr? I where ear plugs from Home Depot - and they work great. I think there are things your husband can do but I'm not sure what those things are. One thing is for sure - You are NOT the bad guy! Many positive thoughts your way.
I don't think it is to much to ask for that your spouse care that you are not getting enough sleep for any reason and not do every thing posible to remedie. the problem ...I personaly know ..two other cupple so who sleep on seperate rooms because one snores and the other one can't sleep ......i see nothing wrong with that ....I am sorry your spouse is so incencitive ......and doesent think it is his problem ......you are not wrong ....and ....you ..might want to .get a nother friend ...to talk to who is more understanding ............please take care of your self ....God bless ...big hugs ...
Thank you both for understanding.
