I just dont care

Ex wife's mom called last night.  My ex got in a car accident and was on the way to the hospital.
I didn't know what to say.  Not sure how to feel.  I didn't say anything.  I told my oldest and texted my youngest and found out she was ok.
But I really didn't care.  I don't want her dead but its not my problem anymore.
It may sound cold and uncaring but I'm not going to start over with my feelings with her.
Welcome to the real world.  You had a wreck, deal with all the problems associated with it yourself.  Of course I know you wont.  You will get someone to help you.  You have never done anything for by your self and wont start now.  Except for your affair.  You get a big shiny star for that one.  Good job.
So I guess to sum it all up.
Aint my problem

With the amount of heart ache and abandonment she put you through it is normal to feel the way you do. Hell my Ex-wife was abusive and I still pray for her to get run over by a bus.

i hate my ex husband-he was mentally and physically abusive. he seems to have it all now, my son chose him over me bc of money. i wish something very bad would happen to him...

Sorry to hear that amandasmith. That has to be rough. If it were not for my kids I would not make it.

I don\'t blame you one bit. The kids are with you, if I recall correctly, so you know they are safe. She is off living her new \"reckless\" life. Sometimes that results in a wreck.

I will also admit to wondering if life would be better if a distracted bus driver might have taken out my ex somewhere along the way. That mentality is wavering over time. I guess that means I am getting better.

But you are right - not your problem. Making sure she has life insurance to help provide for the kids if she dies - that is your problem (and likely all settled in the divorce). Cold? Yes. But, um, the way she treated you.. equally cold? Cruel? Pretty much, yeah. What goes around, comes around.
