I hope I don't lose my friend

Well I met with my friend last night. We went to see a local band. He was already inside when I got there so it was to loud to talk. We would share a few words when we could. Towards the end of the night I shared with him how rough my week had been. To which he asked if it was him, had he pushed our friendship to far last weekend. I said yes that it was way out of my comfort zone.
I love how perceptive he was. He lost his girlfriend of 9 years almost 4 years ago. I hope he is comfortable with being my friend and nothing more, time will tell.
I would miss our conversations. We have a lot of fun people watching. We have the same perception of people. We're not mean but just very observant.
