I hope 2011 brings inward healing to all of us on Daily Strength who have lost our loved ones. I miss my Smokey as he was the special love of my life who is totally irreplaceable. I cried last night. Smokey cared for me, was devoted to me, reassured me when I needed it, respected me, understood me, validated/supported me and loved me with all his heart and soul. Who can replace that? No one. He wasn't perfect but neither am I. We accepted one another's good points and negative points just the way we are/were.
Dave is a good man who is kind, sweet, loving, caring, sharing, giving, gentle and would give the shirt off his back to help someone. I am keeping my eyes open on this one. One day he had the afternoon to himself as I was busy with Lisa by babysitting Tyson. I come back to his place and he tells me he hit on or flirted with a few women. This is not a good thing to do when you are dating someone. It still haunts me. The other major thing that Dave does that I am totally against is that he drinks and drives. He is a tall man and probably can handle a bit more than most people but it is not a strong attribute in my books. Smokey never drank and drove at all. The other thing is that I am a Christian woman who was seeking a Christian man but then Dave entered into my life. Today I am questioning the whole entire relationship. Dave has a lot of good points. I listed 53 good points. He has six negative points. I am going to meditate on this because Dave is a good man and I don't want to throw out the baby with the bathwater if you know what I mean. I am just venting out my feelings today about Dave. I will probably come up with my own conclusions but needed to vent this morning at 6:37 a.m. on December 28, 2010 Tuesday.
