I have to start setting myself up

I have to start making plans for my time and set myself up for success during the week.

I keep on thinking 'downtime' in front of the TV will do it for me - but it really doesn't. Maybe

a little bit when something I like is on - but I am starting to see that I have to start setting myself

up for a shared or solo activity during the week and weekend.

I went to work this morning and then came home and went to my parents' house where I swam ten long laps.

Then I came home and made lunch - walked over to the bakery for coffee and cake and then did chores.

In my retarded mind I have parsed out that what I would love is a shared experience with someone or a group. If it

has to be solo, then so be it too. But something. I need to make plans for something.

You all have suggested to me that I go to "Meetups" and I suppose my social anxiousness has made me shy

away from opening up to new people and running the risk of rejection and so on. I went to one and didn't feel comfortable about it, got dissapointed and left.

But I think in addition to Yoga, on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays I have to start swimming as well.

My upper body has become very weak and these laps today really showed me how my cardiovascular system

needs to be revived as well as my upper body strength.

I need to start thinking ahead - and making a plan each week, no matter what that is. I am entitled to

set myself up for success and not the opposite. :) I feel like an alien. I guess we all have to do this to an

extent - Anyways I hope all's well. Happy Saturday! :)

I find myself wondering if you should be congratulating yourself for the success of getting your life stable enough that you are ready to build the proverbial next room in your proverbial house. The fact that your current life is NOT the end of lour life story is far, far from a failure. Starting construction of your new endeavors with a spirit of continued success is vastly different than starting in a spirit of failure in what you have tried so far.

Life was not intended to be a static proposition, no matter how many fairy tales have shaped your belief in Happily Ever After. The prospect of a never changing life sounds pretty boring to me.

So opineth The Arf, but ^it^ remains yours to sort. Continued support while you sort, my questioning hero.
