I have rants in my pants !!!!

I had really never thought of the full extent of this reality,,,but as Mr. Wizard say,,,this is  the science behind the reality,,or something like that ,,,,Unionization plays a very significant part of the American economic system,,,this is on topic by the way,,you will see where it comes together ,,and I try to explain by example and not just rhetoric here,,, today,,,Dupont's quarterly earnings came below expectations,,,this is not about Dupont or any one or group of companys out there ,,, When a company misses the target by decisions made at a corporate level,,,the fall out will frequently mean mass layoffs ,,and downsizing or worse sending those jobs and facilities off-shore ,,,In this case an announcement will eliminate some 2000 jobs right off the top,,and this is predicated on some decision or set of decisions that are made at another level from those who actually do the job,,,a good analogy would be say 4,000 years ago,,,,the Egyptian Masonary Inc,, suddenly discovered that the plans they approved for the construction of a Spinx was somehow crooked and less appealing to the general public ,,,to solve the problem ,,they kill off 8000 Jews (using this in an historical context ,,,don't get crazy..), which equals say 12% of their labor force ..and this is all based on some understandable error made at another level.. It was very rare that this happened in my memoy prior to the 1990's.
To counterbalance this Union structures in many though not in all business come into play,,,,there is a trickle down affect in this ,,to all non-union operations ,,which is fine and makes sense,,,,,One of the reasons for this current condition that seems to linger on and on is because of the change in labor to management structures ,,,and that is why we are in a corporate deathspiral ,,and why YOUR JOB may well be on the chopping block ,,,as mine was  (indirectly)... The debates were absolute crap on both sides ,,,,no one seemed to be even aware of what the real issues are or how to come to terms with them,,,I am very disgusted....

We are left to vote for the best of what there is -- as is usually the case. Selecting the person most likely to represent our issues while eliminating the one most likely to oppose those issues. Far from perfect but the best we have and we simply make the best we can of it with our vote.
