I have been a widow since Nov. 15, 2009. The inward healing takes over and it is baby steps. One step at a time. It is the hardest thing I have ever had to deal with on this crazy mixed up world we live on.
Anyone else dating? I have been dating Dave for eleven months. I still miss my Smokey. I carry Smokey with me, the hole in my heart when he died and the sadness of Smokey not being here with me, where he should be. Dave is a good man. I am hoping this grief will slowly get better as time goes by. I don't know. Anyone been a widow for 3 - 4 years and are dating again? What's it like for you? Do you still mourn for your loss? I would like to know.

Diane, I have been widowed for 3 years now. I have never been on a date or even had the desire. It would be nice to have a friend but I could never see myself becoming intimate. I still feel very connected to my husband. I think it\'s fine if that\'s what you want to do. I wish you well.
