I have a hard time transitioning from family to alone time

Things are really good. It’s been wonderful to see my siblings but I am ready to get back to my life.

I’m fighting a little bit of feeling less than when I am around them. They are very tight and very smart and commanding and much of the time I feel awkward and bungling 3rd wheel hyper aware of my flaws. But I’m learning what makes us each tick. We
each have the kind of stuff we like to focus on and that appeals to us.

I’m trying to be good natured and I think I am.

Europe is so seductive. I wish I lived in Madrid with money. I’m not crazy about Greece.

I very much need to get back to my life. Taking care of my stuff and also start some new projects.

One psychiatrist talked to them and he said he understood my brother as ‘head’ and my sister as ‘heart.’
I kind of exist as ‘psyche’ and artist outside their bubble but I’m learning to relax and just coexist.

once again i find myself wondering about the need to get your life back. my life is not what mini me imagined, but it remains **my** life. i feel far more grounded when i embrace my life as it is and let go of my adolescent ideals.

it is what it is, whether i understand it, or knot.

Sounds like you are back home visiting family? It's good you are doing that, but I can understand wanting to get back home after a week or so. I'm glad the monastery thing is working so well for you. What did you do with Blue while you were gone?
Take care.

Blue was taken care of by the priest across the hall from me. He and Blue have a special little relationship
and so I feel assured he was in good hands. I am home now - and lots of cleaning and laundry to do! Thanks Becky!
