I had an interview today, my dishwasher broke yesterday!
I had an interview today at St. Albans Anglican Church, which is a 15 minute walk from my place. I hope I get the job as I don't have to use any kind of transportation to get there just walk. It is for part-time receptionist position. I really would like this job so if you can pray for me or send me your best wishes, it would be nice. The interview seemed to go well but I can never tell. I was walking home and felt a bit down.
Yesterday I broke my dishwasher. I was trying to pull out the bottom shelf and I had to yank at it. I broke something. I am lucky Dave was here and he looked at it. We might just have to buy a part, which Dave can or hopefully, install for me to get it working again. Dave takes his time to doing something but he will do it for me. Dave is such a handy man. I am lucky to have him in my life. I would have had to call a repair man, pay for the time and part. It could have gotten expensive for me.
Today after the interview, I walked over to Value Village. I love shopping there. I am looking for brown casual shoes. They had one brown pair that I liked but it made of man made material. I liked them but want leather.
Today I got my laundry in, yahoo! It is first come first serve here. I am so lucky or blessed to actually get the washers. Later on, my brother Don is coming over for lunch. I just serve him left overs. I have a few in the fridge so he can have his choice.
On the weekend, we made meat loaf on Friday and spaghetti on Sunday (for the Super Bowl). It all turned out great. We finished off the left over meat loaf yesterday but still have spaghetti left. Yesterday Dave made an incredible Greek salad without the black olives in it. Both of us do not like black olives. Dave is turning into a great chef since I first met him last August 2010. It was the best Super Bowl I ever attended and it was the only Super Bowl party that I ever attended. We played Trivial Pursuit with the original board game. There was five of us: Dave, me, Rob, Alla and my friend Carol. Alla left after a a few rounds. It was most enjoyable and we laughed a lot.
Thank you all for listening from Diane Baillie
