I got to see Grayson's first steps

Grayson got a rocking chair from his paternal uncle and aunt.  His Daddy put the rocking chair together and he was so darn cute with getting in and out of it, that the kids called and said they would bring Grayson and his chair over to visit.
They put the chair on the living room floor and with a bit of finaggling Gray climbed into his chair.  When he got himself situated with his feet on the floor and started to rock, I exclaimed, "Big boy Grayson!"  His response was to paste a great big grin on his face, stand up, put his arms out and toddle to me.   Oh my!
My son in law started crying.  He was so delighted to not be working for this milestone.  The kids were busy calling, facebooking, and texting and Grayson and I hugged and played with his chair.
The kids are planning on moving away in a few  months.  I will have to drive an hour to see "my boy."  Sure glad he shares these moments with me now.
