I don’t know

I don't know if the world had changed or just the way I feel about it. My appetite is huge but it's not at odds with my survival set, which perhaps unfortunately was the way it once was. Keep hungry. Keep living. Keep on keeping on.

thanks Janet! I really need to make a life with someone.
Coming home to my room - thought beautiful with the Christmas lights on
and Blue here and the radio on, I need to somehow develop the skill
for making a human friendly, creature comforts life for myself,
Maybe I'll buy some candies and keep jars of them for the down time at night,
Perhaps I'll buy a bottle of scotch to enjoy one nice glassful a night.
Perhaps I'll join a dating website,,,,but one thing I've noticed
that is a real amazing talent and instinct and insight to have is to be
able to create a home life....not just decorate a room but to provide
the wonderful things like movies and candies and loved ones and
all that stuff instead of not seeing my own human need and unknowingly
living in ascesis.

I can only imagine how rough it must be with the responsibilities you have and the sacrifices you have had to make in order to do what you do. My heart goes out to you, hugs

Thanks Bob, big hug my friend.

I had a day off from duties today but I struggled with myself a great deal. I just have to thank god for the day and remember that this is just part of what it’s like to be me at times.
Remembering that, like my therapist suggested, really helped me calm down and get on with my night.

Thanks to you Bob and Jan. You make life sweet.

in my neck of the woods, both the world and my emotions are in a constant process of change. i love the chinese proverb, "make friends with change. it's the only thing you can count on."

if i've been reading well, you have been developing quite a few relationships there at the monastery. keep building. it's okay if they disappoint at the holidays and other romanticized events. that's what family is for.
