I don\'t like change....blahhh!
Went to my family doc this morning, he is my new one that is a gem! He got my test results back from the lab and wanted to go over them with me. I had a physical and he ordered a page and a half of blood work with the physical. Some of my numbers were lower then normal and some highter then normal but not enough to be concerned about, will be doing follow up check ups in 6 weeks. So all in all that visit was good. Only test that hasn't come back is PCR test. This one is the test that tells you if you are Hep C negative or postive and it is the one I put off evey january because of fear..aahh! These results should be back in about 3 weeks.....tick..tick...tick..tick...tick...aaahhhh!!! Hade an appt. with my pd this afternoon. Got some bad news. My pd is relocating to another province, in fact he is moving accross Canada to Ontario! He is going to be calling my family doc to tell him to refer me to another pd! I can't handle thinking about it because I want to cry.....*sigh* He will be leaving Aug.15th I have 2 more appts with him and then he is gone!!!!!! I'm so sad. My pd has been a BIG part of my life for 3 years and I have grown to trust him and to rely on him. I am not comfortable at all seeing another pd.... We are still working on my meds and I can't imagine another person filling the gap just from reading a bunch of paperwork...gggrrr! My pd knows me and most important knows my system and how it reacts to different meds. I know my new pd will also be qualified but it takes so long to adjust.....I don't want change in this area of my life!! I can't talk about it anymore...too sad... One positive about today was being able to smile and laugh while I had my appt. My pd is very serious and smiles on occasion, but today I was talking a mile a minute couldn't keep up with myself. He reminded me that being this "high" for me means a "crash" but he is trusting that I am aware of my moods and the "crash" can be avoided. He was so happy for me, he hasn't seen me out of my depression for months. He did alot of smiling. My Lithium will stay the same. The Lamictal I tried to get him to increase 25mg every 2 weeks but he said no just 12.5mg. what I've been doing since the start. He is very catious about the rash. He is starting me on Zopiclon for sleep and to help with the weird dreams I'm having. Sad story... I will have to buy him something special before he leaves.

I\'m sorry to hear that Ramona. I\'m sure the doctor will refer you to someome you\'ll like. If not you\'ll keep looking. Think positive.

Changing the pdoc is so traumatic. I\'ve gone to therapy for years for anxiety. I had the same doctor (a lady) for six months. We really bonded. I got close to her. I did well with her. She got me into the car and driving again. She just knew how to push my confidence buttons. I will always miss her. She also moved. I was devastated. The one I see now is also a woman. I like her a lot...but I still miss the other pdoc. You just become attached to these people that know us so well. It\'s understandable. I feel badly for you.
Dr. is being smart to watch for the rash. It does happen you know!! Just follow instructions..he surely seems to know what to do wtih you.
Hope the Zopicion works for the sleep and bad dreams.
Have a good day Ramona.
God bless. xoxoo
Sorry to hear about your pd. Mine went off my insurance January 07 and I freaked out. I did not want to change. I had a couple wackos before her. So I pay the full cost of the visit ($100) but, she made my visits every six months unless I need her sooner to save me some money but, to still see her. I actually talk to her 5-10 mins but, she is worth the money since I trust her completely with my mental well being. Hang in there.
