I don't know why I do it
I keep so vigilant about what I am doing throughout the day and dismantle - and pull apart -
my experience and try and make some sense of it - into a wisdom or some kind of gained knowledge.
I really wish I didn't do this - I have a lot more important things to worry about - I worry about what
I am becoming - and sometimes I feel like it's a self fulfilling prophecy of worry.

Maybe try something like colouring when this starts to happen Mark.... At least whenever you can.... Interrupting these thoughts might make a difference..... Nip it in the bud
I think mindfulness meditation might be able to help as well...…….Big hug LC......xo
I agree with you Jan. I think those things will help. I just went for a long walk too.
it's weird. I watch people on tv - on Bloomberg Channel talking freely of their expertise and opinion
and then I realize I have to be cautious about myself - being sure to be self responsible and careful of what
things mean. It really is my limit that gets in the way of life...I plan on going to my friend's monastery in March.
For some reason I think things will be different there - but in truth I will still be the same person. I guess I look
for the Nirvana that no one or that I can't have. Maybe it's a good thing I am seeing this? :)
Hi Mark..my Uncle Louis was a Jesuit Priest, Trappist Monk...as you are familiar with NE, RI is where his monastery was prior to burning down, Then he was moved to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Joseph%27s_Abbey,_Massachusetts What I recall was the amazing peace and energy...through silence
thank you so much mlr!!
