I don't know what to do!
I just got a email from the work agency that found me my first job...They have a 5 day job available for me the same week I have my family vacation. I have been so worn out and tired and have been looking forward to this vacation for so long. But I need money. I feel torn. I called my my mom and she said she would help me write a email back explaining that I can do it any other week, but that one. I don't want to cancel out on the temp job, but I NEED A VACATION. ...What do I do? Once the job is over I'm back to being unemployed...Once the vacation is over I will be rested and calm. ...WTF

Sometimes time and distance and being in a less emotional state can help us think clearly.
I say, give it 24 hours, eat something, breath deeply, listen to music, relax, and revisit the question tomorrow.
Email them back saying that you have had a need to travel out of town, and would be thrilled if you could continue to work with them upon your return.
That\'s all you have to say.
if it\'s only a 5-day job.....well i say roll the dice, send the email, take your chances....
but take the vacation!!
tell them that u have a family thing that u must handle and if u cud do it the next week or anyother week beside that one. if they dont wat about doing that and vacation the week after? or u need it now..soo..wat about asking them to find u other jobs
don\'t make generic statements like you could do it any other week... if they schedule it for another week and that also creates a dilemma, would look bad. are you sure the vacation will be pleasant? (Once the vacation is over I will be rested and calm.) seems like you want to take the vacation, and as the job is only temporary, let the work agency know that you are unavailable to work but interested. they don\'t need to know why or anything else. work to live, not live to work.

Do send them email, or actually call, they will understand.
I have done a lot of temp work - a few things, call every week to let them know you are availiable, establish connections with someone there and take anything they offer (when you can)....
Good luck and enjoy vacation, it is okay to miss this your happiness is more important, if it were more than a week then I would probs say something different, but as it\'s just a week don\'t worry about it.
