Why would I want to keep it straight. I like the curly q's and flourishes.
No straight lines make up my life
All the roads have bends
With no clear cut beginnings
And so far no dead ends. ~Harry Chapin (All My Life's a Circle)
thanks arfie. I need a point of light to direct me, stabilize me
in the isolation and darkness...sometimes I can do it for myself
but most of the times I need an external structure to keep me guided.
My therapist told me today she would be traveling for a couple weeks.
Though I survived before I started to see her...right now I really need
someone to talk to... so much mystery in my state of being - but maybe
in admitting that to myself and you, I can surmount the obstacle and keep
on keeping on. You rock!
Nature abhors a vacuum. She doesn't much like isolation, either. Even her most non-gregarious species will die of starvation if they have no other life to interact with. Humans are one of her more gregarious species. We ALL need interaction. No exceptions.
Questioner to questioner, I wonder often about that questioner trait of seeing mystery everywhere and feeling defective for not being able to find answers for everything, whether there is a real question there, or knot. Is it a psycho flag that I have been finding some peace in approaching Life as I approach a mystery novel? Knowing what is coming is not the point. The point is being interested enough to turn the page. Interesting people are interested. Can we *just* kick back and be interested in the show?
Gentle hug sweetie..... I'm sorry that you're feeling lonely...… I don't know if you ever go to the Anxiety Board but I think it's a good board as well
I hope that you're able to get out a bit this weekend.... I isolate at times and things can seem really burdensome when we're on our own to long.... xo
Thanks Jan and thanks Arfie. I think that's really interesting arfie..."Can we live with the mysteries of life and kick back and be interested." I think I am getting that... Live with my nature and 'that boogie' - I just got an email from "Eckhart Tolle" I would love to do one of his retreats. He talks about accepting a life that isn't all about a personal narrative (not all ego). I think I like that and I think that's in part the idea you are saying. Both your idea and his are nice.
Thanks Jan too. I just went for a coffee at the bakery - and the windows are open and nature is streaming in. It's a good morning and I will get out for a walk later on too. Peace and Namaste!!
I've never been on a spiritual retreat which did not hold some benefit for me. I've thoroughly enjoyed most. Even when the theology doesn't resonate for me, I love being around people opening themselves to that peaceful balance in life.
Since I stopped viewing myself as the center of the universe and working to control the uncontrollable, it is far easier to recognize, embrace and even develop potentials outside my personal skin. The world outside my pain is an endlessly amazing and consoling place.
