I don't get pop culture

It has to do with the way I grew up. I wasn't allowed to watch TV or anything. I was grounded because my older brothers beat me up. Why? Who knows? Blame the youngest, I guess. So now I find it hard to binge watch anything. Last night I did watch 3 episodes of Squid Games, which is extremely rare for me. It's the first time in years that I have watched a show that is currently being talked about. I like it, but I find it hard to binge watch anything. 3 episodes is my max. I was lying awake trying to think of a name for this journal, and nopopculture came to mind since I don't get references. Yeah, this is a weird intro to me, I know, but it gives you some insight into my life.

A little about me: I have pretty much the entire DSM-5 except DID. I have the manual, softcover, and sometimes turn to a random page to see if it's been something I've been (outside) diagnosed with, not self-diagnosed. Most of the time it is, or I'm on that category. I have so many physical problems it's like a game of "name a body part and I'll tell you what's wrong with it." I try my best to be grateful, but I do complain a lot. Depression does that. I'm an alcoholic/addict in recovery (it's in the DSM). My first and only pet, a cat that I've had for 13 years now is dying of cancer. I take her to chemo, but the tumor is getting bigger. I'm getting a master's in counseling, in my second year. I'm almost 40. I like Thai food, coffee, and my friends/family. I don't put a lot of faith in Myers-Brigg, but I'm an ENFP-T for those of you who do. I got my COVID booster yesterday, on Halloween, so I don't forget the date (work with the public and immunocompromised).

I've been on DS since before 2010 under a different name, then ended it in 2017. I'm back under this name to get a fresh start, and the website won't let me log in (it says my password doesn't work and won't let me change it). I don't want to say what my old username was. I look at those journals and I was a different person in almost every way.
