I didn't buy the flat.
It's the Easter holiday and I didn't buy the flat.
I'm trying to give myself routine and I still feel depressed and am finding it hard to sleep.
Not sure if I will ever be able to fight my way out of the rut I am in. Trying really hard though.

I know how you feel, with the depression when it seems there is no other options one can take to alleviate the feelings of hopelessness. Caring for a sick parent is a stressful, depressing experience, and sometimes you are making sacrifices in your life to accommodate for this responsibility. It is equally tough to juggle a career and maintaining visitation hours with your child, and you are doing the best that you can in such difficult circumstances. You are doing your best in this difficult times, and I am certain things will look up for you in the future. You have made a right decision in not buying a property in this economic environment, The high interest rates and devaluation of currency are making things so tough for people to save up to purchase a property, let alone to rent.
It might be for the best, but she didn’t buy the flat at this time, you have so much else going on in your life and the interest rates are outrageous right now..
Hang in there, don’t ever give up, you never know when things will improve
Keep up the good fight Rich. Maybe appreciate that we’re all fighting our ways forward. You’re in good company! It’s a commonality for all of us for sure!! (Hug) and keep on keeping on!
I cared for my mom for almost 25 years. Now in my late 40s I feel like I'm starting my life all over. I feel lost most days and my heart hurts missing her. It will be a year in April. Now that my caregiving role is over I have to find greater meaning. Guess I tell you all of this to say: live in the moments and embrace each day as it comes and don't be hard on yourself. I feel you are doing the best you can (yes, your best is different each day). (((HUG)))
I guess buying the flat was just not meant to be at this time, rich. I hear you about feeling like you're in a rut. Since I had to retire from teaching and lost my reason to get up in the morning because of my kidney disease it's been hard for me not to see life ahead as a rut as well. Let's support each other through the grind, what do you say?
Thank you all guys.
Andromeda, your advice is always great and full of depth. I cannot thank you enough for the support you have shown me over the last few years.
Mark same to you. We are all in the same boat and life is not easy, that's for sure.
Mel I hear you. Your mum would be so proud of you.
Muji, I sorry you had to retire. I am deffo here for you too.
