I cried in my own bed this morning.

I cried in bed this morning.  I miss Smokey so very much.  Every time Smokey saw me, his blue/brown eyes would light up like a Christmas Tree.  I absolutely loved it.  This was one of the things that I missed about him.  I could trust Smokey's taste.  He knew mine like the back of his hand.  I love silver jewelry.  Smokey knew this about me.  I would show him one of my new pieces, he would look it over and comment on it.  Smokey was a gentlman.  He always held the door open for me.  It was ladies first in his books.  I am glad about it.  Dave is not that way at all.  Dave doesn't notice my jewelry pieces.  Dave said he does not buy women jewelry.  It's okay with me as everyone is different.  Dave is not a gentleman but at times he can be.  I am comparing Smokey and Dave.  It's a natural thing to do after the anniversary of Smokey's death coming up on Monday Nov. 15th.  I am so emotional about it all.  Smokey was a curmudgeon in every sense of the word.  Dave is a gentle sweet giant of a man.  They both have sweet souls.  I am lucky & blessed to have or had them in my life.  I did get mad at Dave as he has a smart mouth at times.  There were four of us sitting on the couch.  Dave was talking with his room mate Rob.  We were watching football.  His comment was something like the women don't count as to what we are watching on TV, we will put on what we want.  I got mad as it seems to me he was discounting women.  I went and pouted in the bedroom.  Dave kept checking on me.  Alla left.  I had enough and told Dave I was going home.  Dave said he did not want me to leave and kissed me.  I stayed.  He wanted to know why I was mad.  I eventually told him the reason.  His smart mouth gets him into trouble from time to time.  He really is sweet.  Dave always wants to know why I am mad and tries to fix it up.  If Dave can stop doing something that I am not happy with or makes me mad, he would not do it anymore.  Dave told me this.  Go figure!
